Being in WA now saves me money every year that I dont go to expo. But I always liked walking around. I still think it was better at Mormon Lake even though they outgrew it.

Once you go with a fridge, you never go back. Ice is for the poors. :stirthepot:

I love mine. I use it more for costco runs than camping though. Looking to get some use this summer fishing and wheeling in the new area

Oh and FYI did learn that National Luna will be introducing smaller size dual zone fridge/freezers near end of 2024 35-45L sizes. It's hard to find a sub 60L dual zone so good news on that front

Costco has that 83qt Igloo that I know is too big for me but it's hard not to at that price... It seems it is just a basic ass fridge that probably has a Dometic compressor since they bouoght them a couple years ago and that's exactly what I want.

I know quite a few people that buy bigger than they know they need and then end up regretting it. Once you get them in the truck, you realize just how much space they take up, plus the increased power draw, plus the most efficient fridge is a full one so if you're constantly under filling it, it will be drawing even more power. Just something to think about.

I've ran three Dometics of various sizes and now have a cheapo Amazon one, BougeRV which has honestly been perfect for what I need.

Yeah those are the exact reasons I haven't pulled the trigger so good to get some affirmation. It would pretty much hose a third of the real estate in the back of a 4Runner. If I were going remote a full week at a time I'd maybe consider it but I'm not even getting out as much as I want for weekends

Depending on how many people you're feeding, you'll be amazed at just how much you can get in a fridge since you don't need room for ice. I had a 40, 55, 35, and now a 28. Two people for a week with minimal drinks in the fridge, the 40 or 55 would easily be sufficient.

Yeah I went 50L dual zone 38/12 split it's a hair on big size for solo weekend adventures but should be ideal for the longer 6-8 night trips

That's what I'm thinking... That fridge is as much space as I currently have between 2 orca coolers but no ice means I can probably get away with 50L and not miss a thing so that's around what I've been looking for.

I was at right toyota yesterday picking up oil filters and noticed the lot was almost empty. A few cars around the perimeter but 90 % empty. Conversely the dodge dealership was overflowing including hundreds of additional cars/trucks in an overflow lot behind lowes. hmmmmmm

Turns out selling a product where the MSRP exceeds the number of miles it's going to run before falling apart isn't a winning strategy for Dodge... :p

Man white walls are a vibe. It's a shame a lot of cars don't look quite right with them these days.

Making progress on my first fab project.
Cut and drilled the frame mounts which were the only complicated pieces, and cut the main bumper corners and the hitch cutout (not shown). Cutting 1/4” was not as fun as I had hoped

If you havent yet picked a latch/hinge I highly recommend the 4XInnovations one. I just used it for my blazer bumper. Its pure beef and really nice.
