Holy hell. 12hr install time for full suspension swap 98% solo. Had to have my wife assist with getting that PITA upper control arm bolt back in on both sides. I’m too old for this shit.

Out of curiosity, any of you have experience with a OneWheel? I'm looking at the GT for cruising along with the dogs on greenways or the neighborhood. Also at work, I sometimes walk to a nearby vendor (an 8 min walk - I do like the time getting away from my desk), but a OneWheel may be fun to cruise on instead.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
    Ya going back stock?

Damn, I knew prices got crazy since covid but wow! Back in 2012 my sitcker was 38,500 and I paid 27,500 TTT out the door with no trade and several add ons like the leather heated seats, luggage rack, and bed tool box. Im driving my 2012 till the wheels fall off.

What I find crazy about this new truck is I'm averaging 21 mpg on a 2015 with steel skids, sliders, winch, and steel bumper. I regularly get 370 miles on 17 gallons. My commute is 50 miles each way where the speeds are 35 to 65. That's with oem size tires and wheels.

Driving style is big factor, as is tire size. My 2017 is similar proportions with similar daily mileage. I’m on SL 285s, but I’m lucky if I average better than 16-18mpg on any given tank.

Agreed, I have a fully outfitted truck with ARB bumper winch, Roof Rack, Sliders, Tool Box, Half bed rack, oversized tires and I am averaging close to the same.
BTW, I misspoke, my sticker was 35,800 not 38,500 so 47k seems like a massive increase in 12 years.

When I put my e rated 285 75 16s on for the weekend trail runs mine drops down to around 18 as well. The rolling resistance and unsprung weight makes the biggest difference. I assume the same will probably happen with the new truck as well.

Agreed; making my normal work commute each week, I average 17-17.5mpg, without any adjustment for larger tires. Making the same commute, but driving aggressively, itll be 16mpg at best. This is with larger AT tires, lifted, skids, sliders, camper shell, roof racks, rifle case, and RTT on top. Driving habits make or break gas mileage. I tend to stay at 65mph or below. The second I push for 70mph, the truck doesn't like it and does the shifting dance, but gets happy and settled in again in the 78-82mph range. But the fuel efficiency changes drastically between those 2 happy spots.

    Same crap everyone else got
I get 16ish with low pro bumper and winch, sliders, camper shell, and slightly larger tires. I cruse on the hwy at 75-80ish....Guess I now know why my mileage sucks haha.

I'll try to drive under 65 for one tank and see how it goes.
