as much as it seems everybody has a hate on for Lance Stroll , he has more points than 10 other drivers .

 

Put 8 of those 10 in Stroll's car and I daresay they'd have more points.

 

That may be true, but if he is not finishing close or beating his team mate on a regular basis, it's the driver not the car.

 

Apart from Canada they seem to have tried to batch races together by regions which is good. Nice to see Australia as the opener and there should only be one Saturday night race which will be Vegas.

 

Most teams have a dominant driver

 

True, but that slower team member is usually the driver at risk of being dropped but with Stroll he doesn't have that pressure. Even Stroll admitted that Alonso is just faster than him. The points gap between the 2 was 132 points. If Stroll was able to be closer to his teammate like other upper level teams they would have probably placed higher in the constructors.

If Lance Stroll was driving for any other team and that far off his team mate and admitting that his team mate was simply a faster (better) driver than him...I don't think he would have a seat for long, but because his father owns the team, he doesn't have to worry about it.

Exactly. I'll quote myself from a post last July...

"If Lance Slow was anywhere but on daddy's team he would be on the bubble due to lack of performance against his team mate. Scoring at just half the rate of Alonso would see Aston Martin in second place right now."

I don't expect daddy's little racer to fare any better this year or next.

Lance Stroll - yes.

 

I bet the big shots at Ferrari are digging though Hamilton's contact trying to figure out how to avoid having him drive next year.
