This camper shells seems to be a good alternative

From Alibaba. Shipping is a lot but the camper shell's price is good.

I know some members will say "will not purchase due to lack of support". Anyways, anyone bought from Alibaba?

i was checking the reviews and it looks like one poor soul took the leap of faith and it worked out

 

I’ve read about 2 reviews and both buyers were happy with their purchase.

 

The shipping is $500 and the weight of the aluminum version is 165lbs. The shipping will depend and you will need to talk to the seller. I got a quote of $500. It will take about 50 days by sea door to door. Estimate of 25 days to make + 50 days in shipping.

There is a steel version and weighs around 265lbs so I did not ask about any details because that is very heavy.

I just picked the first one that popped up, I know its not for a taco. We know the joints won't line up, it'll have sharp corners, the hardware will be shit, I can bet it'll leak after the first washboard road but you do save $2-3k

Oh and if you need support and they even answer it'll take 2 or 3 months to get any parts. For me it's not worth the headaches
