Replacing H-11 lamp with H-9

The lower light set on my second gen truck - too high to be fogs - had the anemic H-11 bulbs. Used this mod to fit H-9's. It retains the low factory cut-off line. 65w vs 55w so little current chg. Used to avoid Javelinas. I have my outfit modded for "on anytime" operation.

      Making this mod changes the output level of the lamps - check local legality. The factory housings are designed to have a "cut-off" line that is lower than the low beams of the headlights and these maintain it. They are brighter than stock - 2100 lumens and the additional beam spread is very noticeable. Back roads I drive have a lot of wildlife and these have helped avoid more than a few collisions.
