Bumper Slot bug-screen, & why I need one in Florida.

Looking down behind the grille on the left side, you can see the top of the aluminum bumper. On both sides I used a self-tapping screw to mount an L-shaped S.S. wire mesh placed behind the bumper-slot. The mesh is covered with household screening & when it gets full of customers, it can be easily flushed by putting the garden hose behind it from the bottom. Fia makes a nice screen for the grille, don't they think the bugs would go into the bumper slot?
