I want to thank you again for sending these pictures. I am considering an older cap more and more considering prices. Did you have to make any alterations to the locking mechanisms or linkage?
I didn't have to make any changes to the locking or linkage. I just had to trim the door flap (aluminum) and then add the tailgate skirt. The price was a BIG consideration for me and I already had the cap from my 2009 Tacoma. I looked around for caps that did not roll over the bed sides. None to be had. I add a full ladder rack in the summer and no new cap would allow that. I am very happy with this 2nd gen cap on a 3rd gen.
