This is what the OEM fuel filter looked like inside. 158k on the truck, not sure if this is the original filter.

i need to attempt to change my fuel filter one of these days, it has been on for probably 100k miles and maybe 15 years, i have a new fuel line ready just in case it breaks or twists

@GQ7227 It's a pretty easy job on 1st gens with the 3.4l. A creeper and a set of line wrenches and you should be able to knock it out in an hour. I'd recommend getting the OEM filter since it comes with a new bracket.
