Not a great picture, but this is after a couple coats of paint. I taped on some brown paper to catch any overspray. Ready for a new windshield!

      Hey crusty, I got the same truck but my rust is a little worse, got a couple small holes. Did you pull headliner? And can you get to the backside of the flange area on topside to treat / paint backside? Any info appreciated, want to work on it soon, Mahalo from Hilo, HI

      @maileboy I didn't completely remove the headliner, but I may have removed the map light so that I could drop it down a little bit to attach the plastic. I'm not 100% sure, it's been while since I did this job. I think there is some access to the rear of the flange area, but it may be partially blocked by the reinforcement that goes between the A pillars in the front. I found a photo of the inside searching the forum, check out post #19 on this thread:
